Makers PDX
Makers is a faith community based out of Portland, Oregon created out of four elements: belonging, curiosity, art, and justice. They are part church & part creative space.
In May of 2021 I (Giovanni Herrera) was hired by the Makers organization to design icons that represented the cultural rhythms they’re establishing within the Makers community.
Brief: Josh White, the head of Makers, and I were passionate about making these icons conceptual opposed to obvious/literal.
